When considering a trip to Puerto Rico... please keep in mind that Puerto Rico is a tropical island with a hot-to-temperate climate all year round. That said, forget the winter clothing - even if it happens to be January.

As you pack for the trip, consider what you will be doing. No doubt you'll be spending time at the beach; the sun can get very intense, so remember your sunscreen. Many of the hotels provide towels for the beach, but you may want to bring your own. Bring comfortable shoes for walking, hiking, etc.

Residents of Puerto Rico are inclined to dress nicely when eating out, regardless of the restaurant; consider choosing outfits for day-time wear and night-time wear.
